Job summary

Verisk is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to support drafting, negotiation, and management of complex commercial agreements. You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, Product, Privacy, Security, Compliance, and Legal to drive business objectives while mitigating risk.

The role requires strong contract law expertise, excellent communication, analytical and relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate negotiations, manage multiple priorities, and deliver practical,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and JD degrees preferred, with 5+ years of experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts
• Bar admission is advantageous but not required
• Strong contract law expertise and ability to navigate complex negotiations

Responsibilities

• Independently draft, negotiate, and review contracts including MSAs, SOWs, DPAs/DSAs, NDAs, SLAs and other licensing agreements
• Balance multiple negotiations with limited oversight; multitask under supervision
• Determine proper form of agreement based on product/services understanding and contract law
• Collaborate with Finance, Insurance, Risk, Security, Privacy, Compliance, Audit, and product teams
• Apply Verisk’s contracting playbook and contribute to it based on experience
• Identify legal issues and propose acceptable language during negotiations
• Quality check all requests and agreements ensuring proper approvals
• Produce post-execution contract research findings
• Stay up-to-date on GLBA, FCRA, GDPR, CPPA/CPRA, HIPAA and related laws
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information
• Track progress and follow up on outstanding items
• Improve contracting reporting/workflows using CLM/CRM systems
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders across departments
• Complete ad hoc projects and annual goals
