The ideal candidate has estimating experience, can read construction documents, and can collaborate with project teams to ensure pricing aligns with scope and timelines.

• Experience reading blueprints and construction documents.
• Ability to prepare detailed cost estimates and take-offs.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines.
• Collaborative with project teams, PMs, architects, engineers.
• Experience with cost-saving opportunities and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specs, and project docs to prepare accurate estimates.
• Perform material take-offs and size labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare clear bid proposals with cost breakdowns and timelines.
• Collaborate with project teams during pre-construction.
• Identify risks and constructability issues early and assess cost impacts.
• Track costs and compare actuals to estimates; adjust projections.
• Review contracts and change orders for scope and pricing alignment.
• Identify value engineering opportunities without sacrificing quality.
• Coordinate with procurement to secure competitive pricing.
• Support bid reviews with internal teams and clients.
• Maintain historical cost data to improve future estimates.
