Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho seeks a Competitor Analyst & Procurement Specialist to deliver competitive intelligence and buyer-role support for memory technologies.

You will research competitor releases, monitor offerings, and share insights with internal teams to influence procurement strategies. The role emphasizes collaboration with partners, data-driven decision making, and leveraging AI to improve intelligence gathering and procurement efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Proactive and highly organized with strong multitasking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and memory technologies, AI proficiency, and at least one year of experience in semiconductor/memory technology, market/business intelligence, procurement, SAP, or Ariba.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Semiconductor Tech, or Related Field.

Responsibilities

• Identify and use appropriate data sources and systems.
• Develop strategic research solutions through collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Analyze data and intelligence for competitive benchmarking purposes.
• Document, share findings with internal partner groups and participating actively in benchmarking working groups.
• Utilize market knowledge and industry intelligence to support procurement decisions while leading inventory database and want-list.
• Maintain positive and effective relationships with suppliers for discovery of competitor product availability.
• Execute product orders and provide buyer-role support.
• Analyze purchasing data for cost saving and process improvement opportunities.
