Qualifications

• 4+ years' direct applicable experience in competitive intelligence or related research
• Knowledge of market analysis resources and marketing terminology
• Experience researching using external tools such as PitchBook, Capital IQ, Deal Point Data, LSEG Workspace, Mergermarket, Westlaw Litigation Analytics, Bloomberg Law
• Intermediate Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and charting
• Understanding of legal professional ethics and copyright in intelligence gathering
• Experience in the legal services sector

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on companies, industries, technologies, markets and competitors; produce actionable intelligence for business development
• Retrieve data from diverse sources and create visual reports highlighting trends
• Prepare weekly/monthly financing deal data for different geographies and industries
• Monitor news and litigation to inform practice leaders
• Disseminate intelligence on clients, industries and competitors
• Contribute to advanced current awareness services for business development
• Develop market data visualizations and dashboards
• Help shape CI team processes and best practices
• Promote CI across practice groups and in Marketing/BD efforts
• Participate in Innovation projects where CI is relevant
• Present materials to stakeholders as needed
• Evaluate CI systems and tools and stay current with best practices
• Represent Innovation in the office and at firm events
• Take part in special projects as needed
• All other duties as assigned
