Job summary

Google's Community Development and Engagement teams seek a Community Development Manager to blend community engagement with industry knowledge, supporting SPO’s goals through data-driven insights and programmatic engagement across data center markets. You will partner with cross-functional teams and cultivate relationships with government officials and community leaders.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program or project management.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Experience with local municipalities, associations, KOFs, non-profits, education institutions and communities.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with KOFs, municipal leaders, industry partners, and non-profits to align initiatives with community needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate to scale sub regional community affairs coverage in emerging markets using place-based frameworks and partnerships.
• Develop communication tools to educate local communities on data center impact and implement localized investment and workforce plans.
• Maintain internal relationships with Acquisition and Development, Energy, Government Affairs, Public Policy, Cloud Supply Chain, Marketing, and Local Google Data Center teams.
