Job summary

FWI (FedWriters, Inc.) in Linthicum Heights, MD seeks a Strategic Communications Specialist to shape internal and external messaging for the DC3. You will plan communication strategies, produce news and digital content, and support executive engagements, ensuring a consistent voice across channels. The role is on-site with local travel and CONUS events.

A Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required, with 12+ years in strategic communications (or 8+ years with a BA/BS) and DoD policy

Overview

Join our team as a Strategic Communications Specialist and support the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) by shaping its internal and external messaging, events, and brand. You will plan communication strategies, produce news and digital content, and support executive engagements, ensure a clear, consistent voice across every channel. Work Schedule and Location

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm in Linthicum Heights, MD. Travel: about 15–20 local DC-area events and 3–5 CONUS trips per year supporting conferences and outreach; no overseas travel.

Required

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in strategic communications or a similar field, or 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with an MA/MS/MBA
• Experience in Intelligence or Cyberspace communications and/or Federal and DoD policies and procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
