Job summary

Prince William Water is seeking a Communications Manager to drive strategic messaging and manage internal and external communications across multiple channels. The role leads a team, coordinates crisis communications, media relations, and content strategy to support the Annual Strategic Communications Plan and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, public administration or related field.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible communications experience, including project management and media relations.
• APR accreditation or ability to obtain within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of communications professionals to ensure timely, accurate, accessible messaging aligned with objectives.
• Serve as primary media spokesperson and oversee strategies across web, social media, newsletters and other channels.
• Lead emergency communications planning, SOPs and 24/7 PIO rotation.
