Job summary

Elkhorn Slough Foundation in Watsonville, CA seeks a Communications Manager to lead a cross-organizational communications function and guide the Comms team. The role partners with Reserve staff and the Philanthropy team to promote the Reserve's work and support fundraising.

You will develop an integrated strategy, manage content across publications and digital channels, cultivate media relations, and ensure brand consistency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated, organization-wide communications strategy.
• Collaborate with executives, program leads, and fundraising teams to amplify impact.
• Manage a content calendar across programs, events, and channels.
• Lead media outreach, pitching stories and coordinating press materials.
• Oversee branding, collateral, and digital content including web pages and newsletters.
• Coordinate with partner organizations and generate leadership reports on effectiveness.
