Job summary

MANTECH in Linthicum, MD seeks a motivated XE Strategic Communications Lead to join our team. The role focuses on implementing strategic communications in support of a DoD customer, coordinating messaging and outreach, and ensuring alignment across internal and external communications.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in strategic communications, familiarity with DoD policies, and an active Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in strategic communications or a related field.
• 8-10 years with a BA/BS, or 6-8 years with an MA/MS/MBA.
• Experience in Intelligence or Cyberspace communications.
• Experience applying Federal and/or DoD policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implement and facilitate strategic communications in support of a DoD customer, enabling strategic, operational, and tactical communication efforts to enhance internal and external messaging and outreach.
• Coordinate and execute marketing communication initiatives, including public relations, special events management, advertising, and brand awareness.
• Develop and maintain communication standards across multiple channels such as periodicals, web services, publications, presentations, and digital platforms.
• Support the development and distribution of news and informational content for internal and external audiences.
• Produce and disseminate communications products and services in accordance with applicable service level agreements.
• Assist the Public Affairs Office in documenting strategic, operational, and tactical engagements.
• Utilize standard operating procedures to support operational efficiency and continuity of operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in utilizing digital platforms and web services to amplify strategic messaging and outreach.
• Demonstrated capability in orchestrating high-visibility special events and comprehensive brand awareness campaigns within a defense environment.
• Exceptional ability to synthesize complex intelligence or cyberspace concepts into clear, impactful publications and presentations for senior leadership.

Clearance Requirements

• Candidates must possess an active Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and related equipment.
• Must frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, and you must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
