Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of professional communications experience.
• Experience creating and distributing digital media products.
• District ties and knowledge of the Baltimore/Maryland media landscape are favorable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement media, communications, public relations, and social media strategies.
• Engage with the press for media opportunities and availability.
• Brief and prepare the Congressman for press engagements.
• Stay current on legislative issues relevant to the District.
• Draft daily content in the Congressman's voice and respond to breaking news.
• Manage the official website and distribute newsletters and press releases.
• Create videos and graphics that are on-brand and error-free.
• Maintain strong relationships with staff, media, and constituents.
• Work flexible hours, including long days, nights, and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
