Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Trading Originator to originate business in North and South America across refined products including Middle Distillates, Fuels, and Feedstocks. The role requires deep knowledge of commodity flows, asset infrastructure, and market players, with collaboration across global teams to fit Chevron’s trading portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in trading/origination and business development.
• Strong background in both physical and financial trading and deal origination.
• Proven ability in leadership, negotiations, and cross-functional communication.
• Spanish language knowledge is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and capture new supply and offtake agreements for S&T’s global portfolio.
• Originate opportunities through targeted customer solutions including physical optimization, financing, and risk management.
• Provide end-to-end deal management; ensure transaction structures, risks and trade-offs, execution options, negotiation mandates and stakeholder engagement plans are defined and evaluated.
• Cultivate strong network of internal and external contacts, drives market intel and business leads.
