Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Goleta, CA, is seeking a seasoned Commodity Manager to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to support manufacturing, engineering, and business operations.

You will lead RFx activities, supplier selection and negotiations, monitor market trends, onboard suppliers, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to align procurement with product development and production needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity management.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
• ERP systems expertise (SAP preferred) and sourcing tools.
• Knowledge of global supply chain dynamics and risk mitigation.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPM, APICS) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commodity strategies using total cost of ownership principles.
• Lead RFx processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor market trends and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers in alignment with corporate procurement policies.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, and delivery metrics.
• Facilitate supplier risk assessments including cybersecurity and financial health.
• Partner with engineering, operations, and finance to align procurement with product development and production needs.
• Support new product introductions and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and contract metadata in ERP and sourcing platforms.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
• Lead initiatives to standardize and streamline procurement workflows.
