Job summary

Stockman Bank Of Montana in Billings is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to analyze, process and service commercial and agricultural loan requests while expanding client relationships in the community.

The role requires solid credit analysis, knowledge of loan programs including SBA, and the ability to price and structure loans. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in supporting business growth and community involvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business/finance/agricultural business or equivalent education/work experience.
Strong commitment to exceptional customer service.
Strong knowledge of analyzing credit requests, collateral analysis, loan structuring and pricing, and collections.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Access.
Proven ability for business development.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to communicate concisely in verbal and written formats.

Responsibilities

Analyze and approve commercial, agricultural and some consumer loan requests.
Perform collateral inspections and evaluate operations through field checks.
Develop new business by expanding relationships and calling on potential customers.
Cross-sell bank products and represent the bank in community activities.
Service commercial, agricultural, consumer, residential and credit card customers.
Collect past due accounts and manage OREO; stay informed of SBA/FMHA/MBOI programs.
Structure and price loan relationships and assist junior lenders.
