Associated Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager to manage and grow a diversified commercial banking portfolio. You will partner with Relationship Managers to deliver sound credit solutions, strengthen client relationships, and identify opportunities that help businesses succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
• 5+ years in Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Banking, Specialized Banking, or Credit Approval.
• 5+ years underwriting and managing complex commercial credit relationships.
• Valid driver's license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial banking relationships while ensuring compliance with credit policies, regulatory requirements, and risk standards.
• Analyze financial statements and credit requests to evaluate risk, recommend loan structures, and support sound lending decisions.
• Partner with Relationship Managers to strengthen client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and support portfolio growth.
• Monitor portfolio performance, loan repayment activity, and client financial health to proactively manage credit quality.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through referrals for treasury management, private banking, capital markets, and other banking solutions.
• Coordinate loan renewals, due diligence, and credit documentation by working closely with clients, credit teams, and internal business partners.
• Support new business development through financial analysis, opportunity assessments, and participation in the loan approval process.
• Represent Associated Bank by participating in community and business organizations to build relationships and strengthen the bank's presence in the market.
