Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a CMC Quality Compliance Director to lead inspection readiness and compliance across GMP areas, including internal and external sites. You will develop governance, monitor regulatory trends, and drive risk-based quality improvements.

You will provide strategic direction, lead cross-functional teams, and coach staff to enhance quality culture while expanding Vertex’s global compliance footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or allied health field; typically requires 10 years of work experience and 3 years of management experience.
• Experience across multiple GxP areas and global GMP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for inspection readiness and compliance across GMP areas including external CMOs and internal sites.
• Monitor cGMP regulatory guidelines and translate into control strategies.
• Oversee sites and implement action plans to improve compliance and quality culture.
• Lead and coach staff; provide enterprise-level strategy and change leadership.
