Job summary

CSU Channel Islands is seeking an Administrator II to lead the information security program, governance, and risk management activities across the university. You will ensure policy compliance, develop security controls, and coordinate with ITS and campus stakeholders to maintain a strong security posture.

The role emphasizes incident response, policy enforcement, training, and collaboration with external auditors and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.
• Eight to ten years of IT Security, IT Risk Management, and General IT experience; at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and administers the University Information Security Program; leads in security architecture, controls, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Provides regular assessment of security posture and compliance with regulations; reports to CIO and university leadership.
• Oversees policy development, dissemination, and training on information security and privacy matters.
