Job summary

First Baptist Atlanta is seeking a Director of Children's Ministry to provide spiritual and operational leadership for ministry to children in grades K-5. The role focuses on creating a Christ-centered environment where children hear the Gospel and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and are connected to the life of the church.

The position requires a mature faith, alignment with FBA's beliefs, and experience in leading children's ministry, staff, and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual and operational leadership for Children's Ministry in alignment with FBA's mission.
• Plan, oversee, and evaluate a comprehensive ministry for children in grades K-5.
• Ensure biblical teaching, curriculum, and discipleship are consistent with Scripture and FBA's Statement of Faith.
• Oversee Sunday School, missions education, VBS or equivalent programming, music, events, and other ministry opportunities.
• Create a welcoming environment that connects children and families to the life of FBA.
• Recruit, train, equip, and lead staff and volunteers with clear expectations, accountability and encouragement.
