Job summary

Eastside Preparatory School, located in Kirkland, WA, seeks a Chief Finance & Operations Officer to partner with the Head of School and the Board of Trustees. The role oversees a $30 million operating budget and campus operations, HR, risk management, and external relationships on a full-time, on-campus basis.

Salary range is $275,000 to $325,000 with experience-based adjustments. The CFOO will supervise ~30 staff across multiple departments and serve on the Senior Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including general accounting and controls.
• Experience as a manager/supervisor in a multi-functional environment.
• Experience in strategic planning and budget projections.
• Experience with employee benefits administration and HR-related policies.

Responsibilities

• Guide long-term financial sustainability and strategic financial leadership for the school.
• Develop and oversee annual operating and capital budgets with transparency and discipline.
• Partner with Controller on Business Office functions, audits, benefits, retirement, and investments.
• Lead HR policy, compensation strategy, and employee benefits with fiduciary oversight.
• Lead risk management, compliance, and legal initiatives with external counsel as needed.
• Oversee campus operations, facilities projects, and liaison with business park leadership.
• Set tuition, fees, and lead need-based financial aid aligned to mission.
