Staples, Inc. is seeking a results-driven Category Merchant to lead Business Essentials merchandising for US Retail Stores. You will shape assortments, pricing, and vendor partnerships to boost sales, margin, and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate across Planning, Marketing, Pricing, Site Merchandising, and Supply Chain to deliver compelling category plans and drive growth for Staples. This role offers leadership responsibilities and a path to influence strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of customer needs and translating insights into category strategies.
• Strong analytical and financial aptitude to drive sales, margin, and inventory goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute customer-centric category strategies to drive sales and profitability.
• Build assortments with vendors that meet customer needs and business objectives.
• Negotiate pricing, rebates, and volume incentives with vendors.
• Collaborate with Planning, Marketing, Pricing, Site Merchandising, and Supply Chain to implement plans.
• Forecast financials and drive accurate item forecasts with cross-functional teams.
• Present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership and influence decisions.
