Job summary

UKG is seeking a Category Manager, Engineering Tools and Data & Analytics in Boise to lead sourcing for software, SaaS, and cloud services. You will partner with Engineering, Product, Data, Security, Legal, and Finance to drive category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and optimize TCO while delivering business value.

You will influence negotiating strategies, forecast demand, and align roadmaps with budgets, risks, and growth objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, or Supplier Management, including 5+ years supporting technology categories.
• Experience developing and executing category strategies across engineering tools, software and SaaS, data and analytics platforms, cloud or data services, AI/ML technologies, or related technology services.
• Proven track record leading complex sourcing events and negotiations for enterprise software, subscription and consumption models, professional or managed services, MSAs, SOWs, and licensing agreements.
• Strong knowledge of technology commercial models, total cost of ownership, contract lifecycle management, supplier performance, and third-party risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives (RFx), competitive bidding, supplier selection, and deal structuring for enterprise software, SaaS, cloud platforms, and technical services.
• Drive complex negotiations for technology agreements—including usage-based licensing models—to secure favorable terms.
• Optimize contract structures, licensing terms, renewal rights, and data-use rights while controlling TCO and risk.
• Deliver measurable financial and operational outcomes through cost reductions, cost avoidance, and working capital optimization.
• Manage renewal timelines and milestones to preserve leverage and support business continuity.
