Job summary

Raymond James in New York seeks a senior analyst to play an integral role on an industry-focused team, responsible for formulating new business proposals and developing company forecasts and valuations.

You will evaluate merger and acquisition scenarios and prepare documents related to the public issuance of stock, while partnering with internal stakeholders to support client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
• General experience 3–6 years.
• Ability to formulate proposals and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Make authoritative recommendations about technical or professional solutions that would significantly improve business performance.
• Develop innovative solutions by integrating and analyzing complex and diverse information sources.
• Make authoritative recommendations that have a significant impact on the business over the short and long term.
• Develop functional or operational policies and help develop policy frameworks for area of responsibility or department.
• Manage a range of investment portfolios through in-depth market and sector analysis while maintaining a wide range of external relationships.
• Work on complex administrative processes and databases to develop and test administrative procedures to ensure they are fully in line with organizational needs.
• Develop short- or medium-term work schedules in order to achieve planned commitments.
• Build complex frameworks to fully assess the scope and context of short-term and long-term business needs.
• Act as a business partner to important internal customers and manage relationships with them.
• Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of internal communications with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Develop and write materials that are highly visible, such as sensitive press releases or speeches to critical audiences.
• Develop and/or deliver a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or risk control processes.
