QTS Data Centers, a global leader in digital infrastructure, is seeking a Capital Equipment Procurement Engineer to drive strategic sourcing and supplier performance for critical equipment categories. This role reports to Development Procurement and collaborates with Global Procurement leadership to align category strategies with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, Operations, Finance, or Construction Management or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in contract development, execution, and management.
• Experience developing long range sourcing plans for assigned categories to reduce total costs, optimize value from suppliers, and meet internal customer requirements.
• Experience in managing and leading change initiatives involving significant impacts to organization

Responsibilities

• Analyze capital plans to drill down equipment and services required for OFCI budget and rolling 12-month procurement plans.
• Provide weekly development procurement status, progresses, and recommendations to executives.
• Continually evaluate new critical infrastructure technologies with partners to balance cost, availability, reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze category spend management opportunities and deploy appropriate strategic plans with KPI tracking.
• Lead RFP packages and competitive sourcing events to ensure value, risk mitigation, and performance requirements are met.
• Support Sales revenue by securing competitive NRC costing for customer deals as requested.
• Resolve unforeseen technical and commercial issues and escalate to close processes with approved actions.
• Develop OFCI standards distribution to suppliers and obtain OFCI equipment submittals for each project.
• Develop KPIs to measure supplier performance and drive improvements.
• Liaise with Site Operations, Suppliers, Finance to drive efficiency and value.
