Job summary

The Buyer-Planner at GCM coordinates procurement for raw materials, parts, and services to ensure timely deliveries within budget. You will plan, monitor purchase orders, review requisitions, and negotiate supplier terms.

Responsibilities include developing the approved supplier list, expediting orders, maintaining records, and ensuring 99% on-time delivery and 100% quality lot acceptance targets. A bachelor’s degree and ERP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent procurement training/experience.
• 3–10 years of progressive procurement experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchases materials or coordinates procurement activities for GCM.
• Plans, schedules, and monitors purchase orders to meet production needs.
• Reviews completed work orders for accuracy prior to job closing.
• Processes requisitions and interrogates supplier information for price/delivery.
• Interviews and confers with suppliers to obtain product/service details.
• Maintains approved supplier list (ASL) and supplier performance records.
• Expedites orders and negotiates contracts within budget.
• Maintains procurement records including costs and delivery performance.
