Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
  • 2–4 years in purchasing, materials, or supply chain in industrial plastics.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems in manufacturing/distribution.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchasing activities for direct and indirect materials across multiple sites.
  • Create, release, and manage purchase orders in the ERP system with accurate pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm orders, track shipments, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support multi-site material requirements by monitoring demand signals and inventory levels.
  • Maintain ERP item master data: lead times, reorder points, supplier assignments, and pricing.
  • Collaborate with production planning, operations, and logistics to ensure material availability.
  • Assist in supplier performance tracking including on-time delivery and responsiveness.
  • Support sourcing and cost-reduction initiatives by gathering supplier data and market information.
  • Ensure procurement transactions comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of purchasing processes and data accuracy.
