Job summary

Minco Products, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our Purchasing Team. This role sources, negotiates, and buys materials, supplies, and services to support production and operations.

You will build supplier relationships, analyze data for cost savings, and coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet timelines. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in purchasing or supply chain within manufacturing, with proficiency in ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred).
• Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make strategic buying decisions.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, components, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and specifications.
• Evaluate and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier agreements to ensure best value.
• Create and manage purchase orders and maintain accurate records in the ERP or purchasing system.
• Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness) and resolve issues as needed.
• Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, production, quality, etc.) to understand material requirements and timelines.
• Track and report on key purchasing metrics, including cost savings and supplier performance.
• Assist in the identification and qualification of new suppliers.
• Support inventory control objectives by maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Maintain compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulatory standards.
