Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FED division seeks a Buyer for our Glenolden, PA facility. The Buyer will work with the Master Scheduler to release purchase orders timely and negotiate contracts for production materials, while managing indirect material flow for the site.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in ERP systems to optimize sourcing, cost and delivery performance. Opportunities for growth exist within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year experience in supply chain.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current orders, historical data, and other records to determine the best source.
• Maintain an adequate supply of assigned commodities.
• Reduce excess incoming inventory by reviewing action messages and maximize value.
• Resolve problems related to source, price, deliveries, specifications, quality, and other terms with suppliers and internal departments.
• Assist in resolving payment issues when they arise.
• Advise supervisor when rescheduling is necessary.
• Maintain part parameters with MRP.
• Determine adjustments to inventory due to scrap, damage or loss of parts.
• Support Value Stream Manager to improve deliveries and provide shortage information.
• Create and maintain supplier schedules weekly for accurate information flow to suppliers.
• Support lean manufacturing via kitting and value stream mapping.
• Manage Ariba system for purchasing.
• Develop and maintain purchase part strategy (PFEP).
