Saronic Technologies Inc. in the United States is seeking a Buyer to support production of autonomous marine vessels for DoD, responsible for sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while upholding quality.

You will identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, analyze costs, manage inventory, mitigate supply risks, ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR, and collaborate with engineering, production and logistics to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in procurement and supplier management, preferably within defense or maritime.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with government procurement regulations (e.g., FAR, DFAR) is a plus.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Responsabilités

• Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
• Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective agreements while maintaining quality standards.
• Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with others to support production schedules while minimizing excess inventory.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Compliance: Ensure procurement activities adhere to government regulations and industry standards related to defense contracts.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics to align with project goals and timelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in procurement and supply chain processes.
