Job summary

Fairbanks Scales, a leader in weighing systems, seeks a Buyer to source, negotiate, and procure goods and services for operations. You will manage POs in ERP, monitor inventory, and collaborate with accounting on invoices while ensuring compliance with policies and quality standards.

Qualifications include an Associate degree or higher, 2–5+ years in procurement, and experience with Coupa/Ariba and major ERP platforms. International sourcing and freight coordination are a plus.

Qualifications

• Entry to mid-level buyer role requiring hands-on sourcing and PO processing.
• Experience with international sourcing, imports/exports, or freight coordination.
• Background in manufacturing or distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions, create POs in ERP, and ensure data accuracy.
• Source suppliers, evaluate quotes, negotiate pricing and terms.
• Monitor inventory and use MRP/ERP reports to maintain stock levels.
• Track orders, update delivery dates, and resolve supplier discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier records and performance metrics in ERP.
• Collaborate with accounting on invoice reconciliation and payments.
• Analyze spend data and identify process improvements or supplier consolidation.
• Support cycle counts, inventories, and ERP-based adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Generate management reports on purchasing activity and costs.
