Job summary

nVent is seeking a procurement professional to manage direct material purchasing, supplier performance, and data integrity across our ERP environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in procurement, strong analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems. Domestic travel up to 10% may be required as part of supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred.
• 3+ years in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review demand signals, MRPs, and project requirements to place purchase orders for direct raw materials and components.
• Monitor and maintain open purchase orders and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Scheduling, Production, Project Management, Service, and Accounts Payable to resolve material questions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, pricing, and inventory data in Epicor and other systems.
• Review inventory levels and adjust stock positions to support production and inventory management.
• Identify supply risks and coordinate with Strategic Sourcing to implement solutions.
• Resolve supplier issues including shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, invoice mismatches, and non-conforming materials.
