Job summary

Fives Giddings & Lewis in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking a dedicated Buyer to manage high-volume daily purchasing, data entry in ERP, expedite orders, and ensure on-time delivery for aftermarket needs.

You will work with suppliers, OEMs, and internal teams to source materials, improve lead times, and optimize working capital while maintaining data accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Experience purchasing engineered or complex components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proactive parts management focused on efficiency for delivery and cost on outstanding part needs.
• Support strategic buyers for needs relating to lead times, and stocking strategies to optimise working capital and supply continuity.
• Create and maintain purchase orders in SAP, ensuring pricing, delivery, and inventory data accuracy.
• Evaluate material Requirements and demand signals to support production and aftermarket needs.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
