Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a seasoned Business Banking professional to cultivate and manage a portfolio of small business clients in Newport Beach, CA. You will apply consultative sales and development practices to build a robust pipeline and increase market share.

You will proactively develop strategies, networks, and referrals to grow the business while delivering exceptional customer service and credible financial guidance.

Qualifications

• Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study.
• Strong financial analysis skills with ability to interpret financial statements, assess creditworthiness, and drive business growth.
• Strong knowledge of business banking products, lending processes and loan documentation.
• Strong experience with customer sales and service.
• Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes sales strategies to attract new business clients.
• Develops internal and external networks to grow BMO's business.
• Generates appointments and opportunities to grow results through targeted sales efforts.
• Develops, maintains, and executes a business plan, including relationship management strategies, to achieve customer retention objectives.
• Identifies prospective customers and cross-sells additional products and services to meet their needs.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and builds trust by providing expertise and responsive service.
• Understands the local market and proactively develops relationships with centres of influence.
• Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.
• Follows security and safeguarding procedures and applies due diligence per Bank policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
• Identifies risks and takes appropriate actions to maintain operational integrity.
• Works independently on a range of complex tasks and may handle unique situations.
