Job summary

The City of San Diego is seeking a Program Manager within the Transportation Department’s Finance, Information Technology and Support Services Division. You will report to the Division’s Deputy Director and provide strategic leadership over financial management across operating and CIP budgets.

You will oversee budget development, forecasting, reporting, and five-year outlooks, lead ~20 staff, ensure timely deliverables, and collaborate with City leadership to strengthen controls and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, public administration or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible management in finance or budgeting.
• Ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operating and CIP budgets, including multi‑hundred‑million dollar figures.
• Lead a team of ~20 staff and ensure timely, accurate financial deliverables.
