Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting/finance/public admin or related field.
• Minimum of ten years in financial management; government experience preferred.
• Master’s degree in business or finance is a plus.
• Considerable experience analyzing legislation is preferred.
• Criminal background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the County's comprehensive budget system, including operating, capital, and long-term planning to support goals.
• Oversees debt management and forecasting to protect bond rating and long-term health.
• Guides the Board in annual budgeting with analysis of department requests for transparency and alignment.
• Monitors expenditures and revenues; prepares amendments and quarterly reports.
