Job summary

Pace University in White Plains, NY is seeking a Budget Analyst to join the Office of Planning and Budget. You will manage advanced budget analyses, forecasts, and strategic resource allocation to support the university’s mission.

Responsibilities include preparing annual plans, developing dashboards, and delivering timely analyses to deans and budget offices. Requires strong Excel and communication skills with 1–2 years in budgeting.

Qualifications

• BBA or BS degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience required, emphasis on accounting.
• 1-2 years of financial and/or budgetary experience.
• Strong analytical skills utilizing financial systems and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
• Knowledge of financial management software preferred.
• Ability to think strategically and support budget priorities.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic budget planning and analysis support to the University Budget Office and assigned schools.
• Support development of annual strategic plans linking resources to priorities and market trends.
• Conduct market reviews and financial viability analyses for programs.
• Prepare annual financial/strategic plan detailing allocations, revenue projections, and expenses.
• Provide timely budget forecasts, reports and analyses for dean and budget office.
• Participates in testing and review of reports, dashboards, systems used in budgeting.
• Responds to budget inquiries from division Business Representatives and Pace staff.
• Develops and delivers presentations.
• Monthly tracking forecasts and annual setup including forecasts by category.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
