Job summary

SLR Consulting in Cheshire, CT is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineering Operations Lead to drive operational leadership, project delivery, and growth of the bridge practice. You will oversee strategy, resource management, technical quality, and financial performance across transportation projects, while collaborating with leadership to grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
• Connecticut PE license required; additional state licensure preferred.
• 20+ years of progressive bridge engineering experience.
• Experience leading technical teams, project managers, and engineering professionals.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, financial management, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the bridge engineering practice.
• Monitor project performance, schedules, budgets, and resource utilization.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality engineering services across bridge projects.
• Identify and manage operational risks and implement corrective actions.
• Support the Bridge Design Lead and project managers in delivery challenges.
• Collaborate with client managers and growth initiatives.
