Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a multichannel Retail Merchandise Planner in Seattle to reconcile financial, supplier and assortment plans, ensuring alignment with key product and customer strategies and achievable results. You will direct analysis to improve the depth and precision of the buy, manage in-season inventory, and partner with the buyer and cross-functional teams on reviews and Open-to-Buy plans.

Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a multichannel/omni-channel retail merchandise planner or equivalent role.
• Understanding of Nordstrom's retail service environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite required.
• Experience managing a high-SKU, high-seasonality category with $20M+ revenue preferred.
• Experience in a relevant merchandise category (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Reconcile merchandise financial, supplier and assortment plans to capture key strategies and achievable goals.
• Direct analysis to improve depth and precision of the buy.
• Manage in-season inventory including markdowns, claims, and re-orders.
• Partner with the buyer and cross-functional teams on business reviews and Open-to-Buy planning.
• Coach and motivate direct reports to drive in-season performance and planning.
