Job summary

EY seeks an Associate Director in Forward Deployed Engineering to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven, data-centric solutions for strategic client environments. You will blend strong technical expertise with leadership to drive business impact through collaboration with client teams and internal stakeholders.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, foster innovation, and refine EY’s engineering frameworks, while delivering production-ready demos and scalable AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or AI/ML solution delivery.
• Proven experience delivering scalable AI/ML solutions for client-facing roles.
• Solid expertise in ML, generative AI, NLP, CV, data platforms and big data tech.
• Experience with cloud-native development, microservices, containers, and orchestration.
• Proficiency with Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Familiarity with DevOps incl. CI/CD, IaC, monitoring & logging.
• Exposure to multi-agent architectures and cognitive harness patterns.
• Consulting or technical delivery experience with enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to support AI and data strategy initiatives.
• Guide end-to-end solution development from problem definition to deployment and scaling.
• Lead in designing AI/LLM-powered applications using RAG, agents, and orchestration frameworks.
• Develop prototypes and production-ready demos within project timelines.
• Support identification of technical expansion to accelerate account growth.
• Contribute to proposals, technical demos, and client engagements with clear AI/ML value.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
