Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for aggregates in the Philadelphia market. You will oversee plant activity, analyze asset performance, and drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost.

You will work with maintenance, safety, and sales teams to implement budgets and capital plans while promoting a strong safety culture. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Business or 10+ years in aggregates operations, including five years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Business or 10+ years of aggregates operations experience.
• Five years of aggregates operations management.
• Strong understanding of geology, mining methods, and QC parameters.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing aggregate operations.
• Experience with operational, sales, and marketing issues affecting aggregates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee plant activity and drive performance for assets around Philadelphia market.
• Analyze asset performance, procedures effectiveness, and personnel productivity to reduce cost and improve quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to ensure effective fleet and maintenance plans are executed.
• Prepare and implement annual operating and capital budgets and capital spending requests.
• Partner with Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to maintain a safe working environment and promote safety culture.
• Identify and develop talent to strengthen bench strength and fill key roles.
• Evaluate subordinates and provide coaching to reach full potential.
• Lead teams to achieve safety, environment, profit, productivity, costs, and quality objectives.
• Develop relationships with Sales, Quality Control, and CI managers to maximize business value.
