Job summary

HomeServices of America, Inc. is seeking an accounting professional to provide specialized accounting support, including journal entries, GL reconciliation, and financial analysis to support internal and external reporting, planning, and special projects.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, assisting auditors, developing financial models, ensuring GAAP compliance, and collaborating with teams to meet corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Verify and maintain general ledger detail; investigate inaccuracies.
• Research, analyze and interpret financial results.
• Prepare financial and managerial reports and supporting documentation.
• Support external auditors and regulatory filings as needed.
• Assist with development of financial models.
• Monitor compliance with GAAP and company procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
