Job description

The Account Manager will have a comprehensive understanding of the Life Sciences business culture to drive and develop a productive sales strategy in their region. A requirement is to be competent with solution selling principles and practices and demonstrate a high level of professionalism to both clients and colleagues.

Account Managers will have a proven ability to develop new business and revenue streams within the North America region and have further developed existing accounts for new business opportunities and revenue generation in untapped departments or sites, while expanding the territory client base within the Life Sciences industry.

Two key success factors for the Account Manager are to develop a strong knowledge of the product portfolio and align this understanding to the needs and pains of the target audience (the client).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of sales experience with 3 years in account management
  • Ability to manage and generate revenue from existing customers

What will you be doing in this role?
  • Develop new revenue from existing and new departments to meet or exceed the territory revenue plan.
  • Effectively liaise with customers through office-based and face-to-face contact, steering relationships towards strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare an account plan for each organization, including profiles, revenue analysis, relationship maps, SWOT analysis, and growth strategies.
  • Plan customer training visits and events to maximize their effectiveness and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Acquire detailed knowledge of the Science product portfolio and stay updated on new releases.
  • Report feedback from customer training, gather intelligence, and follow up as needed.
  • Maintain sales reports and administrative documentation as per schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to maximize sales opportunities and stay informed about services and campaigns.
  • Organize customer visits efficiently, managing time and costs.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction with Clarivate Analytics services.
  • Represent the team or manager when required.
  • Identify personal training and development needs regularly.
  • Promote safety and adhere to legal and company safety practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your manager or director.
About the Team

This team manages our largest global customers across the Life Sciences & Healthcare segment, handling multiple geographies.

Hours of Work
  • This is a remote position based in EST or PST time zones.
  • Full-time with core hours in your local time zone, with flexibility for global coordination.
Compensation - US Only

The expected base salary is $145,000 - $185,000 USD annually, plus an annual on-target commission of $97,000 - $145,000. Compensation depends on experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.
