Job description

Position Summary:

The Strategic Account Manager role is for the Automation Solutions business, part of the Motion Control Solutions (MCS) Sector. This role focuses on our market-leading conveyor and palletizing automation solutions, selling into multiple industries. Primary markets include Food and Beverage, Home and Personal Care, Canning, and Container. Our business aims to create a better tomorrow by energy-efficiently converting power into motion, emphasizing innovative solutions, customer needs, and sustainability.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve sales goals for specific Regal Rexnord products and services under Automation Solutions.
  2. Engage in team-based selling with trust, respect, and open communication among sales teams, field sales, and customers.
  3. Develop strategic commercial approaches to existing customers and new prospects to drive growth.
  4. Establish and maintain partnerships with customers by applying high-level product knowledge to maximize sales opportunities.
  5. Collaborate across departments to ensure transparency and cooperation.
  6. Achieve customer satisfaction scores by proactively addressing issues.

Sales Responsibilities:

  1. Identify sales opportunities and utilize team-based approaches to meet sales goals.
  2. Build customer relationships through strategic and partnership skills.
  3. Maximize new business and marketing opportunities.
  4. Utilize industry practices and business tools to drive results.

Customer Management Responsibilities:

  1. Identify market trends and customer knowledge levels to strengthen partnerships and loyalty.
  2. Manage escalated customer issues to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications:

  • College degree with 4-7+ years of business experience preferred; 7-10+ years required if no degree.
  • Bachelor's in Industrial Technologies, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
  • Experience in customer and sales roles within manufacturing or technical industries required.
  • Strong sales and communication skills essential.
  • Technical aptitude and team collaboration skills preferred.
  • Interpersonal, influence, and time management skills are desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, CRM, and sales tools necessary.

Salary:

$125,000 - $140,000 USD plus variable compensation. Salary depends on location, experience, education, and internal factors.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
