Job summary

Strategic Account Executive – Strategic Markets (Central or Eastern Time Zone)

RxBenefits is hiring! We are adding Strategic Account Executives (SAE’s) to our growing team focused on serving the Hospital market. The Strategic Account Executive position directly supports the Broker(s) and our sales group during and after the sales phase of the business; then once the account is acquired, assumes complete responsibility of maintaining an extremely positive relationship with our clients. These positions may work remotely or in our Birmingham, AL headquarters, and require up to 50% travel.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify client requirements and determine schedule availability
  • Promote services and define process and related materials
  • Provide quotation & contracts, acquire customer paperwork
  • Mediate process, resolve issues, communicate job status
  • Obtain personalization sign‑offs and perform customer required data audit
  • Interface with onsite hospital resources
  • Provide client consultation on RxBenefits/PBM services and products
  • Understand client organization & structure, product/services and stay aware of client news and changes
  • Maintain and update client record with changes
  • Communicate, monitor, and assure proper billing procedures
  • Establish and promote goodwill with customers
  • Review client history and contact customers as follow‑up activities
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships in liaison role with Pharmacy Operations, service partner contacts (underwriters, brokers, PBMs, sales and service representatives) and client contacts
  • Serve as a resource for onsite hospital team
  • Professionally know marketplace carriers, underwriting requirements & benefits/services they offer
  • Keep internal key stakeholders informed of important activities on client accounts
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development
  • Quality check applications (service agreements), claims processing, audit benefit designs, financial reports
  • Prepare and obtain employee materials, present employee benefits via webinars, benefit fairs, face‑to‑face enrollment meetings, and enroll employees in appropriate services in a timely manner
  • Assist in communication of benefits in enrollment meetings, webinars with client and PBM companies
  • Act as liaison between Pharmacy Operations, client, brokers and PBM companies to resolve service problems (billing, claim, eligibility, COBRA, customer service)
  • Independently manage, with input from Service Representatives, client implementation, booklets, enrollment kits, enrollment forms, letters and checklists
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy on audits, census data and quoting
  • Make regular service/relationship calls to clients
  • Prepare reports as required by VP, Hospital & Strategic Markets and/or broker
  • Keep all information on accounts accurate and up to date
  • Communicate our value‑added service to clients
  • Meet or exceed departmental goals set by VP, Hospital & Strategic Markets
  • Assist with keeping department materials, contacts, intranet updated
  • Assist with development of job aids, training materials
  • Present a positive image in and out of the office to fellow employees, members, providers, and the community
Required Skills / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; PharmD strongly preferred
  • 5+ years related industry experience and/or training
  • Professional experience with 340B and/or GPO fee schedules
  • Professional experience supporting onsite hospital personnel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Thorough knowledge of Employee Benefits insurance
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret industry policies and contract documents
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
