Job summary

Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences seeks an Assistant Finance Director to lead comprehensive financial management for a complex portfolio, including sponsored funds, endowments, and unrestricted resources. You will partner with department leaders to forecast, develop budgets, perform analyses, and prepare reports for executive committees, while ensuring compliance with university policies.

This hybrid role requires a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), 7+ years of experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience.
• MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience managing multiple funding sources, including sponsored research, endowments, gifts, and unrestricted funds.
• Familiarity with university financial systems (preferred).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
