Position Overview

A Straight Truck Driver (NON CDL) is responsible for delivering items to their intended destination in a timely and professional manner, ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Pick up packages from senders and deliver them to recipients.
• Follow specific routes within the delivery area.
• Meet delivery deadlines.
• Ensure safety by following traffic laws and safety regulations, protecting especially frozen or perishable items.
• Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and provide customer service to clients.
• Complete paperwork related to deliveries and reports as required.
• Perform basic truck maintenance such as refueling and visual inspections.
• Collect payments from customers.
• Report any delivery issues or concerns to supervisors or relevant parties (Safety Director, HR Director, law enforcement, etc.).

Essential Functions

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a legal resident of the United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license in good standing and a safe driving record.
• Must pass and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and adhere to standards.
• Must pass and adhere to criminal background standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate (FedMed card).
• Ability to obtain and maintain pallet jack and forklift certification (preferred).
• Adhere to post-accident drug testing requirements.
• Must be able to drive in all-weather conditions.
• Must be able and willing to maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly and 150 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able and willing to kneel, squat, climb ladders/stairs.
• Must be able to drive for extended periods of time.

Work Experience

Required: Less than 1 year.
