Job summary

Upper Lakes Foods is seeking a Full-Time Straight Truck Driver to deliver food products across the Upper Midwest. You will perform pre-trip inspections, verify documents, and ensure accurate deliveries while providing excellent customer service at each stop.

No CDL is required; a regular Driver's License is sufficient. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, DOT logs, and coordinating with warehouse teams to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Delivery, driving, or customer service experience preferred, but training is available.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck and ensure timely deliveries.
• Verify route information, invoices, and loaded products before departure.
• Deliver and unload products at customer locations using hand trucks and dollies.
• Verify deliveries, obtain customer signatures, and collect payments when required.
• Communicate with management regarding delivery discrepancies, returns, or customer concerns.
• Maintain accurate DOT logs, vehicle reports, and delivery documentation.
• Work closely with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Upper Lakes Foods at every stop.

What You'll Do

As a Straight Truck Driver, you'll safely operate a company straight truck while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries along established routes. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Verifying route information, invoices, and loaded products before departure.
• Delivering and unloading food products at customer locations using hand trucks and dollies.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires frequent lifting, unloading, and product handling. Candidates must be able to:

• Frequently lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and move products over 60 pounds.
• Use a two-wheel cart or hand truck to transport loads weighing up to 350 pounds.
• Work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
