Job summary

Meyer is seeking an experienced Straight Truck Driver for its New Castle, DE operation. This full-time role involves driving company vehicles, delivering cargo, and ensuring secure loading in a dynamic workplace solutions environment.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one). 6 months to 1 year driving experience and physical lifting capability are required.

• Ability to lift heavy weight.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles in a courteous and professional manner.

• Transport items from one point to another, may work with a crew or individually.
• Safely load and secure truck loads.
• Assist with moving and installing products as needed.

What you will do as a Straight Truck Driver

• Responsible for operating company vehicles in a courteous and professional manner
• Ensure the safe transport of Company and customer cargo and the safety of the public while driving
• Delivers and picks up cargo and Company equipment to and from customers within designated time frames
• Transport items from one point to another, may work with a crew or individually.
• Safe loading and securing of the truck loads
• Assist with moving and installing product as projects require.

What you need to be considered

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Driver's License (Required)
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one
• 6 months to one year or more of driving and/or box truck driving experience
• Ability to lift heavy weight
