Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a POI Stowage Engineer to act as the real-time expert on NASA inventory items. The role handles assignments with goals and processes to meet them, typically with routine guidance for established tasks.

You will join a team supporting ISS operations and work to ensure accurate tracking from launch through landing. Candidates should bring a bachelor’s degree in a related field with up to two years of experience and familiarity with Lean/Kaizen.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0-2 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma/Kaizen; knowledge of design, analysis and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily list of parts, tools, materials needed to perform science activities on the International Space Station.
• Coordinates with NASA control centers, International Partners, and NASA Payload Developers; POI Stowage ensures hardware is tracked from launch to landing.

Job Summary:

The POI Stowage Engineer serves as the real-time expert on all NASA inventory items. Assignments tend to be of moderate complexity, diversification or expense. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. Normally receives instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Provides daily list of parts, tools, materials needed to perform science activities on the International Space Station.
• Coordinates with NASA control centers, International Partners, and NASA Payload Developers; POI Stowage ensures hardware is tracked from launch to landing.

POI Stowage Team supports real-time operations five days a week, twenty-four hours per day; in addition, back room teams support five days a week, eight hours per day.
