Job summary

Story Time Chess in New York City seeks a part-time Creative Kids Enrichment Teacher & Tutor to bring playful chess lessons to children ages 3-7, using stories and puzzles. No chess experience needed; training and clear lesson plans are provided.

You'll teach in schools and community programs across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx, with an engaging, energetic, and reliable approach and flexible weekday afternoons.

Qualifications

• Fun, animated, and great with children
• Passion for teaching and hospitality
• Organized, responsible, and reliable
• Great communicator - responsive to families, schools, and our team
• Familiarity with chess is a plus but not required
• Background in performance, teaching, or early childhood education is a bonus
• Background check required at hire
• Reliable transportation required
