Job summary

NAHJ Convention is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support the Knight Science Journalism Program (KSJ) at MIT. The role focuses on storytelling, developing social media content, and implementing outreach campaigns for KSJ fellowships and awards.

You will maintain program webpages, nurture the alumni network, and help promote KSJ events and trips. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years in social media/marketing content creation, strong writing and design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; at least 3 years creating social media and marketing content across web, social, email, and print.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to produce clean copy on deadlines.
• Experience with social media content creation, monitoring, and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop social media content and campaigns for KSJ at MIT.
• Oversee program webpages and nurture the alumni network.
• Promote, attend, and document KSJ events and trips; build relationships to increase audience awareness.
