Job summary

Prequel is seeking a Social Media Specialist to craft platform-native organic content across Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and related channels. You will interview students and families at Prequel schools, turning conversations into stories with strong proof points, and you will shoot, edit, and package short-form videos with accessible tools.

Qualifications

Portfolio with at least 5 examples of self-created social, video, written, or campaign content.
Evidence of owning content for a real audience (college club, internship, creator account, etc.).
Ability to independently concept, film, edit, and package short-form video.
Strong writing and editing skills demonstrated by audience-specific work samples.

Responsibilities

Create platform-native organic content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, and related channels.
Interview students and families in person at Prequel schools and turn conversations into stories with strong proof points.
Shoot, assemble, edit, and package lightweight photo and video assets using accessible tools.
Use AI tools for research, drafting, editing, repurposing, and quality-checking content packages across channels.
Review social and search performance data and apply learnings to the next cycle.
